I just reread the last post, and I realize at that time, I said I was going to try a very very light yellow to outline the zodiac signs……nope! That’s not what I did. I went a bit darker (dyed over Dorr natural) , and liked the effect…..too bright and green to use a background, but just right to use as an outline. I removed the overdyed darker wools altogether (oh my ….what a pile of worms!)
The final outlining is a lot lighter than the “marker” rows I had hooked, but they look almost as dark with the flash. In reality they show up, but don’t stick out….just what I wanted.
Now it should be clear sailing as I complete the background. I’m already planning my next project in my mind.
Thanks for following along.
Lovely! Wish I had your eye for color and design. What a gift you have.
Thanks Susan. Sometimes that “gift” feels more like a curse as I struggle to create what I envision.
Perfect. Love it
Like your thought process though out that you share Elizabeth. It is like second guess what you will do or not. 🙂 Keep up the interesting work you do.
Thanks so much Anne. It really helps my own learning to articulate the processes I’ve gone through.
Love reading your blog! I am learning so much! Thanks ever so much for taking the time to post your articles! Now I don’t feel so bad when I have to rip out some hooking that doesn’t look right, LOL.
